What's voting per entry vs. voting per piece?

On EntryThingy, you can configure voting per Entry or voting per Piece.

When creating, duplicating, or editing a specific call, you can choose by Entry or by Piece:

Pick vote by Entry or by Piece from the drop down menu

What You See in Settings

  • by Entry: each entry consists of multiple uploads/pieces. Jurors vote for the whole entry, i.e. for all the pieces in an entry.

  • by Piece: each entry consists of multiple uploads/pieces. Jurors vote for the each piece in each entry. Use the [pieces] link in the Entries list to see a listing per piece ranked by juror's votes per piece.

Admins can always preview what the juror sees by assigning themselves to Jury a call, even if only temporarily.

What Jurors See

By Entry

Jurors will not vote on the Pieces, only on the Entry as a whole.

By Piece

Jurors can vote on Pieces. They can also view the Entry more broadly, but votes only apply to Pieces.
